Christmas Tree Decorating
This year, we wanted to start the tradition of decorating a tree. Malia was so excited helping us decorate the tree. The joy in her eyes reminded me of the joy I had as a child during Christmas.

OC Fair 2009

We had a great time at the fair. I wish we could have gone with my family but no one wanted to go and it was the last week of the fair. The night was warm and there was so much food to choose from. Malia loved the poly ride and the farm animals as well as the chinese acrobat show. We are definitely coming back next year and I can't wait to take the new baby there with Malia.

La Brea Tarpits and the Kogi Truck
We are such tourists in this pictureI took Malia to the La Brea Tar Pits with Alex and Jason. We met up with Kristina and Raef who came down from the valley. Malia had a lot of fun checking out all the exhibits. At lunch, Jason got a twitter message about the Kogi truck coming to our location around noon. It was a pleasant surprise.

Malia's Art Work - Impressionism
Stacey and I got Malia some markers for coloring a couple of months ago. In the beginning she was coloring on normal white paper or anything we give her...sometimes newspapers and junk mail. The big pad was an old sketch pad that I never used and thought that Malia might enjoy coloring on it. Her technique a couple of months ago was to color with every marker she could get her hands on and to scribble and poke at the paper. I took some pictures because I was surprised at how engrossed she was in her coloring.

Welcome to Malia's Website
This blog is an online scrapbook for my daughter Malia. She was born at 4:15AM on October 30, 2007 at HOAG Hospital, Newport Beach. She measured 19 in. tall and weighed 6lbs 3oz. Her name is pronounced (muh-lee-yuh) and she was named after the Hawaiian surfer/model Malia Jones.
We are blessed to have such a beautiful and healthy daughter. I will be posting photos and stories of Malia as Stacey and I take this journey through parenthood. I also hope that this site will allow our family and friends to keep in touch with us. Thank you for your love and support.
