Malia's Reaction to Solid Food Video
This is a video of Malia watching a video on her blog of her first solid food feeding. She laughs when she sees her face after being fed a spoonful of rice cereal.

Ninang's House with Friends
This past weekend I spent time with Ninang Kristina and her friend Bernadette's two little daughters Jada and Maya. I had a great time. Mommy and Daddy played Rock Band and I fell asleep on Ninang's lap.

My first try at solid foods
Grandma Elena bought me some rice cereal and a couple of spoons for my first try at solid foods. Daddy mixed it with some of my milk. Its different and I think I just need to get used to the taste and texture.

Standing on my own
Daddy has me on a walking strength training program. I spend an hour or so on my bouncer working out my legs. These are pictures of me standing on my own. I still need help being propped up by the couch as I work on balance but overall I think the training program is working.

Grandpa's Orchids
I have never seen Malia smile so much as I did yesterday afternoon while we were at her Grandma and Grandpa's back yard with the orchids. Stacey and I had gone to mass at Our Lady of Peace at 10:00 AM and afterwards to meet with Deacon Rey to discuss Malia's baptism there on June 28th, 2008. We left Malia with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Jonathan. When we got back to the house after church and meeting with Deacon Rey, we were met in the backyard by Jon and Malia. She had the biggest, most radiant smile I have ever seen. As I started taking photographs of Malia among the orchids, her smiles grew even bigger. Some of the photos above are taken next to orchids named after Malia by her Grandpa. The afternoon was capped off with the Lakers winning game one against the Utah Jazz in the second round of the NBA Playoffs. Malia loves watching the Lakers play. What a day!

Welcome to Malia's Website
This blog is an online scrapbook for my daughter Malia. She was born at 4:15AM on October 30, 2007 at HOAG Hospital, Newport Beach. She measured 19 in. tall and weighed 6lbs 3oz. Her name is pronounced (muh-lee-yuh) and she was named after the Hawaiian surfer/model Malia Jones.
We are blessed to have such a beautiful and healthy daughter. I will be posting photos and stories of Malia as Stacey and I take this journey through parenthood. I also hope that this site will allow our family and friends to keep in touch with us. Thank you for your love and support.
